Company Policies for Booking, Changing a Reservation, Cancellations, and Disclaimers

At Papa Bear Adventures, we strive to ensure a hassle-free experience for our customers when it comes to booking, changing reservations, and making cancellations. Our policies are designed to offer flexibility while also maintaining fairness and efficiency in managing our operations. Please familiarize yourself with the following guidelines before making any bookings or alterations to your reservation:

Booking Policy

1. Reservation Process: To make a booking with Papa Bear Adventures, you can either visit our website or contact our customer service team. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation from our end.
2. Booking Confirmation: Once your booking request is submitted, you must send in a deposit with-in two weeks to hold your requested dates. We will provide you with a booking confirmation email including details of your itinerary, trip dates, and any other information you may require.
3. Payment: Full payment takes place just prior to your trip after arriving at Papa Bears facilities in Bethel, AK.
4. Insurance: We highly recommend having travel insurance to cover any unexpected circumstances that may arise during your adventure. Papa Bear Adventures is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage incurred during the trip.

Changing a Reservation

1. Modification Request: If you would like to make changes to your reservation, such as altering dates, adding or removing participants, or switching to a different adventure, please contact our customer service team via email. We will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability and any applicable fees.
2. Change Fees: Depending on the nature and timing of the changes, additional fees may apply. Should you make any changes after May1st the year of your float, you will be subject to a $200 change. This covers the added time it takes to change all the logistics associated with your trip.

Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation Request: If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellation requests can be made by contacting our customer service team directly.
2. Refund Eligibility: The refund amount, if applicable, will depend on the timing of your cancellation and any non-refundable expenses incurred by Papa Bear Adventures in preparation for your trip.

Fishing Policies

  • Cancellation within 90 days of your trip: No refunds.

  • Cancellation Prior to 90 days of your trip: Full refund minus any non-refundable fees.

Hunting Policies

  • Cancellation within 6 months of your trip: No refunds.

  • Cancellation prior to 6 months of your trip: Full refund minus any non-refundable fees provided a replacement hunter is found to take your place.

Surcharge

Due to the unforeseen costs of bush Alaska, trip prices are subject to a seasonal surcharge. As the costs of operating in Bush Alaska are always unpredictable, there could be a surcharge associated with each trip. The cost of the surcharge covers any increase in fuel prices, shipping prices, product prices ect.
